Curious the way that the press think that one of the single greatest advances in intelligence collection in history is somehow a laughing matter. during the cold war our agents would have literally died to find out what is now broadcast in advance. All hail OSINT!

Thats not what he said, he said they are looking at the requirement for an MPA during SDSR and even to see whether it could be met by an unmanned air system. Actually there is an option now to look at an MPA but that may be detail a little below his level.

He's indirectly saying its only to use a ship that takes almost a day to sail to meet up with any foreign intrusion in Scotland. And it was ok for there to be no MPA. All is well and fine.
