Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Mmmmm - it will be interesting to find out if it is the 'conventional' prime movers or the 'innovative' electric propulsion that had a little hiccup.

  2. Interesting she's going to Nova Scotia. Does this mean she will wait there for a maintenance team to be flown in from UK, or are the Nova Scotians clued up on advanced propulsion systems? 8)

    edit for spuling

  3. In larger print, just for you:

<<The plan is for the ship's company to carry out the repairs there once parts arrive from BAE Systems.>>

  6. Unless I need to go to Specsavers she was there alongside at 1130 on Friday.
We were sailing past on the Cap Finistere heading for Santander. If anyone has not used this ship/route it is excellent by the way. There's an all french crew with service and food to match, all very clean and well kept. It rode well through Biscay as well and arrived bang on time despite the wx. Despite the lack of entertainment, only a magician, the 24hrs passed quickly and it is streets ahead of the derelict and thankfully gone Pride of Bilbao.
