Polygamous lesbians flee Sharia

That's a bit disingenuous. Under Sharia, simply being homosexual is haraam! The national Nigerian government are steam-rolling legislation through, with the tacit support of the Anglican Church, which will make any public or private expression of homosexuality a serious criminal offence punishable with up to 10 years imprisonment. However to put this into some perspective, gays and lesbians were not persecuted under the secular Ba'athist regime of Saddam Hussein, whereas Shia death squads have been systematically hunting down and murdering gays in Iraq for several months - which the British media don't even bother to report.
