Political Bollocks

TBH, the whole "we are your bosses, do as we say" is a little bit of a shite understanding of politics.

You elect an MP to act in your best interest, not just parrot the views of their constituents. The point of politicians is that they should understand the political system better than the general public and make informed decisions for us. You don't go to the doctor and rattle off the whole "you work for me" spiel when they won't give you *insert medication* for a cold. You may think that is the best thing for you, but the doctor has the expertise and experience to know otherwise and make a decision that you don't like but is in your interest.

Not a particularly good parallel to draw. A doctor has done seven years in medical school plus countless hours in hospitals learning his trade while your average MP has passed an interview with their local party at best and have little if any specialist knowledge on political matters than your average Joe/Josephine in the street. The current bunch have proved that what common dog they might have had has been purged now they've got a ride on the Parliamentary gravy train.
The whole country on both sides of the argument are totally fed up with the MP's total inability to reach any concensus. They tell us they know how we feel and then continue in the same intransigent manner.

From what numbers I can find, it appears that around 9/10 MPs have degrees, with most of those being in Social Science (i.e. Politics, Economics etc.), Law or Business. To say that they wouldn't have a better understanding of politics, economics, law and business than an average Joe on the street suggests you don't have much faith in our education system?

As to your last point, there is only one MP I've noticed telling me she knows how I feel over the past couple of months and that was the PM.

Parasitic maggots, living off the wealth of the peoples taxes. They don't give a toss about you or I, just themselves, and what they can screw us for.

Never mind all that bollox - my Brexit Day BBQ party has had to be cancelled (at short notice!).

Ah well, we'll just pop out for some tapas then back in time for the Masterchief Final.
