I admit to being highly amused by the media and the Labour party supporters over the last few days. They could barely conceal their glee when the Met announced they would, after all, be looking into the allegations of Downing Street parties and possible law breaking. The thought bubbles clearly read " great! we've got Boris now, an official report and the Old Bill he's as good as bang to rights". Then came the realisation that they could have one or the other and even then names redacted to protect the innocent.
So now it goes on. The can kicked a little further up the road and the interest of most neutrals waning by the hour.
PS I sense there might be an enquiry to find out what happened to the enquiry. you read it here first.

As a report on alleged parties in Downing Street during lockdown is awaited in the UK, in Hong Kong, a minister has resigned after attending a birthday party for a politician.

Two of the guests then tested positive for Covid.

Hong Kong's Secretary for Home Affairs Caspar Tsui said as one of the leading officials in the fight against the virus, he had not set a good example.

Tsui was one of 15 officials who was there - after people had been told to avoid large gatherings.

A report into his attendance is due to be released
