You want to live on their doorstep. Trust me. Not to be trusted in the least. And the best thing this govt has done is bar Huawei. They should get on and chuck them out of our nuclear power station construction next.

I wish that the likes of Amazon, Agros etc would make it abundantly clear where products were made so that we could all make an informed decision where the goods we buy originate.

I dont think I am alone in that given the choice I would not buy anything from them. So it costs a bit more for a UK made bit of kit. I think it would be worth it.

On the nuclear power station question, it is madness to have it built by a potential enemy. Whats to say that the computer controls do not have some sort of backdoor to allow Fu Manchu to access it from afar?

One of the first things my sons and myself did when the chinky flu flared up was to close our 'Wish' accounts.
I constantly check ebay sellers to find their origins, usually if it's considerably cheaper it's sourced from room2213, wing wong house, hooflung dung district, Peking or similar. If it is don't buy, don't support a country full of unhygenic tiger and rhino killing untrustworthy bat eating bastards. Rant Over...

P.S. Do we really need another nuclear power plant with all the shite that comes with it, no matter who builds it?

Problem is, when the wind dont blow, when the sun dont shine, how do we power granny's 3 bar electric fire in the middle of winter?

We are not yet in the place where renewables can provide reliable energy 24/7, 365 days a year.

When we do get there I am right with you regarding nuclear power.

Agreed, but much more could be done nationwide to provide power. To my mind every new build, domestic, agricultural or industrial, should have to be fitted with solar panels by law. Please don't think I'm a paid up member of the Green Party, I'm a hunting, shooting, fishing, two stroke riding good ole country boy. But this country wastes no end of power every day and there are alternatives that could lessen our dependence on nuclear power.

My bold - believe it or not it is only a couple of years since the Spanish government decreed that new build houses should have solar hot water tanks.......

There is so much that could be done and will need to be done in the near term. Solar tiles/panels should be compulsory for new builds plus extensions, While the tree huggers want us to have clean energy, they baulk at the idea of tidal power as it would affect estuary life. Sorry but you cannot have it both ways, whatever the Swedish grumpy Schoolgirl tells you.

Open question, but how the hell will we cope with demand when all cars need to be electric or carbon neutral? Creating hydrogen expends energy, plugging in 30 million cars every day will need gigawatts of energy. Where is that coming from?

When I was in Barrow, they were talking about a bridge from Morecambe to Barrow. Firing water turbo's in the bridge, with their fast tide, it would give power to a large part of the North West, tree huggers said it would chop up the s a life, so was binned. They said no turbo's not viable?

Never mind all that malarkey - where are they all going to park? Imagine a fairly normal row of terrace houses. How many times do you actually get to park outside YOUR house? There will be extension leads left, right and Chelsea!

Near future population won't need cars as they will be so used to working from home and having all their ready cooked rubbish food delivered to the door. They will only need two muscles, one in each thumb, so they can text all day long and if today's trends are anything to go by they'll all be obese Jabba the Hutt lookalikes and therefore unable to fit through the front door to go out anyway!

Aye but steptoes power is the , "How to lead a political party down the shitter by stealth", power.
Not that they needed much more assistance anyway.

Saw a report from a chap who wrote a book about him, before a ran for office. he recons they will have to get the bailiff in and frog march him out in January.
Or he is showing the failings of the American voting system, where the result is called by the MSM, which is a prediction, but the official results are not confirmed until14 December from the college electors and in their parliament 7 January?
Apparently only a few states say the college electors have to go with the popular vote, by law, 2016 90 went against the vote, but still had no effect on the final result.

what a complete and utter cluster Fukc
