PMU eyesight

Hi everyone.

I was Placed PMU for my eye sight. My right eye was n6 and need to be N5, I was tired on the day that i had my eye test and i told the boots this when they was doing my test.

Just wondering if it would be worth to appeal the choice as it was only one point away from where it would of been.

Any advice would be great or information if someone gone through the same issue.

Thanks
B

I’d say so. Just mention your tiredness!

Take another eye test at Boots at your own expense. Then if it is better than the original send the results with a letter of appeal to the relevant authority. All appeals should be backed up by proper documentation.

Thank you for advice, I am speaking to my career adviser tomorrow and get the ball rolling

Hey, sorry but any chance of an update? Exact same situation, 1 eye was just above the limit (-6.375) so got the PMU from the army today. Did you manage to succeed in your appeal? I'm thinking of taking another eye test as well.

Hi Bobbie

thank for your reply,

I am still in a appeal at the moment, my career officer said it can take from 3 to 18 months to be resolved , I got a extra test done and it was a slightly better one, so get a second option. Best advice is to get two test done one with the optictions you had your test with and another with a different place of your choice so you got evidence you need to appeal

good luck and I hope all goes well

thanks
Ben

Thanks for replying and getting back to me Ben, much appreciated. Wish you the best of luck in your appeal. I'm probably going to let mine sit for a bit before doing it again but I hope you hear back soon.

Cheers, Bobbie
