DON'T choose your job by virtue of waiting times, the jobs you list are extremely different. Ensure you choose a job that interests you & be prepared to wait.

Current waiting times are as follows:

    Mine warfare 7 months

    Communications tech 8 months

    Engineering tech (marine) 6 months

    Engineering tech (air) 8 months

Naval airman (survival equiptment) 7 months

    Good luck :thumright:

  5. okay i have a re-interview for naval airman (survival equiptment spec) (having done my final interview with HM spec in mind) on friday, and PJFT on the 1st of NOV, just going to bone up on it and i should b on the waiting list for that on friday! ((when does the waiting list time begin, from the date you sat your initial aptitude test?)) Naval airman survival equiptment specialist was my second choice in my top 3, so i am more than exited knowing i should hopefully be @ raleigh by May!

thank you for all your help guys!

The waiting times are based loosely on the time from when you sit the recruiting test to entry, assuming you pass all elements of selection at the earliest opportunity without any undue delay (such as medical referral or taking more than a week or so before taking your PJFT, Interview or medical and passing that day)

  7. Ok thats is cool, i sat my test towards the end of september i belive, then went up again 2 weeks ago, for my medical and final interview. And this re interview for swapping my job choice tommorow and PJFT on the 1st of nov. So with a 7 month wait for Naval Airman i could expect to be getting a date for around april/may?

May 09 sounds about right, but be aware the timings may fluctuate dependent on course places available versus the number of applicants for any given trade.
