Out of interest why is going in a Warfare branch advised against so strongly? Is it because of poor skills transfer to civilian life or something else?

Most people just dont like the idea of sitting in front of a computer for hours on end intresting. Or painting the ship grey again very intresting.
Also the warfare branches seem to attract more than there fair share of morons. (this is not to say all dabbers are morons.)
