Job Description
Sellafield is one of the most complex and compact nuclear sites in the world, spanning the entire history of the UK's civil nuclear industry. Sellafield Ltd is delivering nuclear decommissioning, waste management and commercial operations on behalf of our customer, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).

Project Controls are engaged on many different tasks at various times during the workscope lifecycle – e.g. Conceptual Studies, Work Breakdown Structures, Baseline Cost Estimates/Programmes, Risk/Earned Value/Variance Analysis, Change Control, Predictability/Forecast to complete and Knowledge Management, etc.

Project Controls within Sellafield Ltd support integrated project and operations teams and works closely with the Project and Operations Managers in delivering projects and workscope to time, cost and quality.

Planning Engineer:

  • Provision and management of systems and resources to deliver an effective planning and reporting service to the Project Management Community and Customers.
  • Establishing and maintenance of the project Work Breakdown Structures.
  • Preparation, monitoring of the contract baseline and live schedules during all phases of Project.
  • Identifying and tracking of changes / potential changes to project baselines.
  • Preparation of progress reports, including earned value analysis, identifying critical areas, trends and recommend recovery options.
