The good old Socialist Worker - haven't seen that since my student days in Sheffield, when it was everywhere you went in the Student's Union. What always used to make me laugh was that they were always so serious...and actually believed in the rubbish...
  3. Are there really people out there who believe rubbish like this? Honestly, I was very young (4) for the falklands conflict but even I know this shite is inaccurate!
  4. I know its not Sheffield but Antelope because I watched it happen.

If they are going to spout this rubbish at least get it right
  5. Left a nice comment for the author......

How can you call that piece of well researched and accurate journalism rubbish! He got one (small) part right he said that governments lie, seems to think that should come as a surprise to us all......... Ah the optimism of youth!
  7. Very poor item of written trash.
  8. Falklands defined Maggie's time in office. Tony Blair....?????
  9. Written by someone who has only read books at Uni - probably at the taxpayers expense too!

  10. Sadly yes, I was told recently by two supposedly intelligent people that the reason Invincible took so long to get back from the Falkands was she had to stooge around in the South Atlantic and repair the damage she sustained when hit by Argentine bombs and set on fire. And the 'evidence' cited by these fuckwits? The 'photgraph' the Argies published of 'Invincible on fire'

…and don't even get me going on the 'secret' war graves in Lafonia!
  11. What a load of shite ,
  12. Mind you they did get a few things right,

"Blair and his cronies resorted to lying and dishonesty on a historic scale."

"Unchecked by the most contemptible collection of MPs in the Labour Party’s history, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown remain absolutely committed to the US alliance."

"Blair dresses his militarism up as humanitarianism. His particular combination of dishonesty and sincerity worked for a while, but in the end came unstuck when he came up against popular opposition to war in 2003."
