Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. left navy after 23yrs with full pension.commuted all to private at age of 50.now i am 62 am i entitled to anything when im 65.

  2. Pretty sure index linking cuts in at 65.
    Should start to increase.
Just hope to live long enough to milk them for all their worth.

  3. Resettlement Commutation payments cease at age 55. If it was Resettlement Commutation you took, your pension should have been restored to original value at age 55 and increased in line with pension increase measures. If you have service on and after 6 April 2006 (which from what you have said is just about possible) you will have a small pension and lump sum due at age 65. If you have not, you can just expect the CPI additions in April each year.

  4. thanks for replies on pension question will contact centurian.
