Scotland won't go independant. The majority aren't that stupid. The SNP's ploy is to see how much the rest of the UK will up Scotland's allowance to bribe them not to leave. It has worked once already so why not go again as they have nothing to lose.

Contract hasn't actually been signed yet. Fallon went all the way up there just to say "we are going to sign a contract". The way things are going the Canadians will have agreed to buy the design rights and get them in service before we do.

If Scotland goes independent (won't happen though) the work will move south and so will all the skilled workforce. That applies across defence, not just shipbuilding. The SNP could only afford £2.5bn per year for all defence before the oil price sank. And all the while they were talking about buying T-26s and P-8s!
