Legal Risk & Capital (LRC) is recognized as a market leader in the risk management industry guarding Deutsche Bank against such exposures. LRC manages all types of risks, such as credit loss, volatility of market prices, operational failures, liquidity shortages, regulatory and legal matters. All risks are managed from the analysis of counterparty credit risk and the stress-testing of market movements, to the protection of the Bank’s infrastructure and information. The major risks that Deutsche Bank faces are managed by different areas within LRC. These include the Chief Operating Office, Compliance, Corporate Security & Business Continuity, Credit Risk Management, Investment Risk Management, Legal, Operational Risk Management, Market Risk Management, and Treasury & Capital Management.
Corporate Security & Business Continuity (CSBC) has the mission to protect the Bank’s people, infrastructure, processes and information. With dedicated professionals in London, Frankfurt, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Mumbai and Sydney the CSBC team covers all Deutsche Bank’s businesses in every country worldwide. CSBC is committed to ensuring the continuity of critical Group businesses and functions and provides rigorous assessment of the global security situation and business-specific risks.
The purpose of Protective Intelligence is to detect, qualify and communicate all relevant continuity and security risk information to the bank, including information regarding vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure, organized crime, cyber terrorism and technology attacks, direct physical attacks on buildings or staff, geopolitical events with the potential to affect Deutsche Bank’s business activity, and epidemiological threats. Additionally, Protective Intelligence delivers forward looking analyses and bespoke reports to partners within other CSBC functions as well as revenue generating bank divisions, filling information gaps and enhancing the bank’s situational awareness of all aspects of the security risk management environment.
Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Manager for Protective Intelligence (PI) of Corporate Security & Business Continuity (CSBC) for Deutsche Bank.  You will be responsible for:
·         Directly leading and managing PI staff across a range of CSBC activities including requirements management, Open Source information collection, analysis and writing.
·         Operating the Requirements Management process, integrating all stakeholders, documenting and tracking all items.
·         Managing PI vendors, including security intelligence firms, accommodating all phases of the life-cycle from Requests for Information through scoring delivery and contract termination.
·         Managing the team travel and collections process, adhering to governance and Open Source information protocols.
·         Directly performing duties as the senior PI analyst, managing a personal set of requirements, contacts and analysis.
·         Collaborating with the PI Chief Editor to optimize report reassignment, scoring, quality assurance and distribution.
·         Managing the delivery of daily briefs to DB management globally.
This role will report to the Global head of PI (who is based in New York) you will manage a combined headcount of approximately 5 staff and will work closely with members of regional CSBC management in each location
Candidate requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
·         Management level or related experience, preferably in financial institutions, journalism or intelligence.
·         Significant Open Source information management experience
·         Commercial security experience
·         A degree whilst an advanced degree would be preferred
·         Significant experience managing Open Source information management programs for mid-to-large scale organizations, with prior experience in developing staff, refining processes and requirements and managing multiple contracts.
·         A Proven ability to establish Open Source information networks, particularly to peer organizations and national law enforcement.
·         A successful track record in a matrix environment that encompasses functional and geographic diversity.
·         Proven ability to effectively interact with different levels of management from top regional management to temporary staff.
You will be:
·         An astute business manager preferably in the Financial Services or related industry, with strong security intelligence, applicable law enforcement or journalism experience that blends technology, business applications, and banking credentials.
·         A subject matter expert in terror assessments, activism, extreme weather, geopolitical analysis, cyber attack, organized crime and critical infrastructure.
