  1. Hi,

Brand new to the forum and thinking of joining up, brought on by being brought up on relentless navy stories from my dad!!

From the age of about 11 I had repeated middle ear infections which were eventually fixed using a grommet, at around 15-16 I was then given a T-Tube to replace the grommet (Think its very similar to a grommet just a little bit more permanent)

I'm now 22 and I do still have it present in my ear or atleast I know I have a hole in my eardrum as I can blow smoke out through my ear as a party trick... (Dont know how I first figured that one out)

Is this a stopping point to my thoughts of joining the RN?

  2. Anybody have any information and experiences regarding this ?
