  1. I worked at BAe with Lettice Curtis. A very unassuming lady who wrote a book about her flying experience. Apparently, armed with a prewar PPL they were expected to fly anything with up to 4 engines and little or no training beyond a copy of pilot's notes. A number of them flew the Atlantice delivering Hudsos and similare kites. A courageous group.
