Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hey all,

Trying to find out how I would go about, trying to get a copy of some phots taken in 2001 on HMS Campbeltown, official pics and such.

Can it be done when you're a civvy? Just after some phots taken of the ships co. and from our 'Ship's photographer'.

  2. see if there is a group on facebook. They may be able to connect you with someone who can help.
  3. Hi Jenny, i have been trying to do this as well for the Nottingham FPDA trip in 02. I got so far in that all photos over three years old are taken from the RN phot unit and given to the Imperial War Museum for archiving. There is a bloke there who, if you ask nicely, will let you have copies, or if they are mixed up he will let you come down and sort through then yourself. This is what i will be doing at some point.
  4. Ohhhh, thank you for that xx
