Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. BBC - Birmingham - Crufts - Friends For Life 2008

(Voting has closed since the original posting of this link, so it no longer refers to Nowzad) - Sol

Details on the link on how to vote for these as part of the Crufts Friends for Life 2008 Competition

Nowzad and Tali were fighting for survival on the streets of war-torn Afghanistan when Sergeant Paul Farthing came across them whilst he was serving with the Marines. Bringing them to safety meant embarking on a dangerous 4,000 mile journey to bring them to their new home in the UK.

Not sure if it should be worded quite this way. I know that getting ones end away whilst on tour is a nightmare but this is ridiculous

The problem is that they would need 6 months in clink, when they get here and that costs about £1000 each. Like any dog or cat coming into the EU no animal passport no entree except clink for 6 months.
