Once again it is timer to lighten my bookshelves and I have at least 5 books to give away as prizes, all of a military history background. These cover likes of the Peninsular War, WW1, WW2, Malayan Conflict so a fine mix of titles. Everything is completely pot luck so if you are lucky to win you will get a book of my choice.

The competition will run until Sunday 15th November at some point during the day when I get round to closing it off!

Entry form for this competition can be found here: Survey Monkey

Couple of the books on offer are:

@Ex Observer

Email has gone out for address to send the prize.

Answers:
Q1 Fernando Po is in the Gulf of Guinea (now known as Bioko)

Q2 The Malayan word for Independence is Merdeka. Bhomo is a witch-doctor and Ladang is a clearing.

Q3 the 71st Foot have amalgamated several times and are now The Royal Highland Fusiliers, 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (2SCOTS)

Thanks to all who took part, next comp will be up soon.

Altered for accuracy. Giving books to pongoes is like issuing bog paper in block form! ;)

Wrecks there is no need for that, if it was a 200 page book they would get 200 visits to the bog, plus the covers or for the tight arses 400 visits if they use both sides. :rolleyes:

And if they are regularly deployed / on exercise, on compo, it would mean almost 2 years worth!
