Not sure if made right choice

Recently put my application in for ET WE not sure if I made the right choice as I was looking at ET ME , I know its been discussed before and yes I've look at previous posts.

I just can't help but think I may have picked the wrong branch ME seems more like an all round engineer role.

Maybe im thinking over it too much but hey thought I'd post this.

I'm sure my lifts had motors on them that only drew a girly 100 amps but could lift 20 tons. And make a bang if they mucked up.

Sounds interesting guys and thanks for your comments , believe me I have read tons of threads on here about both roles , I did come across allot of "replace" rather than repair comments , what I'm saying is i want an interesting hands on job. But I guess you only find out by actually going for it and seeing what its about.

At the end of the day, a lot of it is down to personal choice, even if you don't know the full background of the trade you are applying for.
But....... both are great Engineering roles which will stand you in good stead for the rest of your life.

True taz, I'm just wanting this to be right the first time around im not as young as I was anymore and can't afford to muck about changing trades , waiting to serve time to transfer etc. But thanks anyway for the pointer.

Any of the engineering branches in the RN will be extremely useful when you eventually decide to leave.
A little advice:
The RN gives every sailor ans annual education allowance.
Use it to gain extra qualifications
If you do not have good GCSE results the RN in most establishments run their own courses. These used to be free and did not affect your annual educational allowance.
Finally enjoy your time you will make some great mates and hopefully some even better memories
