Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

Aunty is not only a little late (http://www.navy-net.co.uk/submarine...l-underwater-tests-mark-ambush-milestone.html) but she has ignored/distorted the builder's press release regarding the actual location of this key event.

Beeb says <<...off the coast of Cumbria...>>

BAE says <<...in a dedicated deep area of the dock at Barrow-in-Furness known as the ‘basin’ or ‘dive hole’...>>

(Mind you the Barrovians are still smarting from being moved from Lancashire to Cumbria a few years back.)

  2. Hope the "lessons identified" by Astute (i.e. check depth of water you're in) have become "lessons learned" before Ambush opens her valves or whatever they do.

  3. Not a submariner then!

  4. I hoped that by not putting "pulls the plug out" I might have gotten away with it. Bugger. ;-)

  5. I think the lesson was more along the lines of "If you are in confined waters, and the plot tell you that you are in 'Area NoGo', don't ignore them.

  6. Threads merged

    :)
