Apologies for this Army Chaplain intrusion but I had promised my uncle that I would post the news of his death on this site after his funeral.
Marine Noel Evans (completed Depot Training (606 Squad) 6 Mar 53) who was a member of 45 Commando Royal Marines and who served in Cyprus Aug - Dec 58, died of cancer in St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin after battling with stomach cancer for three years.
He never lost his sense of pride in being a Marine and I am sure that it was his Corps spirit which enabled him to last so long.
Cheers Noel, bon voyage. :salut:
