I'm using it now and it really is very fast, and easy to use.
I won't be binning my FireFox just yet, but Chrome certainly seems very nice so far.

Give it a go, you can always delete it.

    Get it HERE :)

I'll give it a shot mate.

I'm using Firefox too, but it seems to take ages to load sometimes...then again still a lot better than IE.

Been using since the weekend, there's one or two little niggles (for me), but yes it's fast and all in all I quite like it.

I must admit that I still use both, and the dreaded IE7 for the Pension Calculator every now and then :)

    Google Chrome - Nightmare

One of Chrome's main features is a strong, fast, JavaScript engine but, for loading a page, it's no quicker than Firefox or Opera.
Chrome launches an entirely separate Windows process for every page, which takes up time and memory (Chrome takes more memory than IE8 & that's bad).
Chrome offers to save your passwords, by default, but without protecting them. Anyone with access to your PC can look at all of your usernames and passwords.
There’s no scripting management of any kind and weak cookie handling.
In summary, Chrome lacks features and the privacy controls are non-existent.
    FF for me.

Not to mention Chrome does not have an ad blocker which given it's a Google browser wouldn't make sense (cents) for them... :dwarf:

Not such a bad thing. I use Roboform to hold some (encrypted) passwords but there are a lot of sites requiring password access but where the content is not confidential and its just a chore logging in everytime.

"tried it didnt like it went back to firefox 3"

Is it easy enough to back out of ? I know FF leave files everywhere if you decide you don't want it.

was about to thank all for the tip as I found it very fast with no problems, but, things have started to freeze for no reason
Never did it before and no other applications have been installed.
I hope it's not Google as it's fast for me compared to IE.
I deleted Opera a couple of weeks ago and now stay with Firefox. We will see.

Remember this is still in 'Beta' so there will be niggles and things that don't work quite how you expected.

If there is a box to tick to send info back to Google, you should check this box and then all faults and error messages get sent so helping them to get it right.

Don't forget it's got "incognito" mode - woooooohooooo - your kids (ahem) will love that one - mucho porno without leaving traces all over the comp - rumour has it IE8 will also have this

I'm scared of new browsers, seriously, when I installed FF It made it my first browser, which was annoying for passwords and such.
