Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The Prime Minister of Australia announced yesterday that effective 4 July Rear Admiral Russ Crane would be promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral and take the post of Chief of Navy.

Not bad for somebody who joined the RAN as a Junior Recruit, later changing over to become a MCDO (HMS Vernon 1977), and on exchange at HMS Vernon from 1981.

He becomes (I believe) the highest ranked diving officer in the Commonwealth.

He is a good bloke who has never forgotten his roots (sea cadet & JR).

    Bravo Zulu
