That's great. I tried to learn the trumpet at school but couldn't produce a sound. Was much more successful with the vuvuzela. Alas, it doesn't seem to feature in the piece below.

The Dutch in the Medway is a poem written by Rudyard Kipling and published in 1911 in 'A School History of England'. It recalls the neglect of the Royal Navy under Charles I from the point of view of an English seaman, culminating in a surprise attack by the Dutch and the burning and capture of many ships at Chatham dockyard. This version was set to music by Peter Bellamy, a folk-singer who often reworked Kipling's poetry into folk songs.

I wonder if the Poet Laureate will produce a poem featuring the gallant Ever Given?
