  2. who actually controls the Admirals promotions all the good Officers never achieve all they deserve
    here is a few who should have the top job if they where still in

    Roger Ainsley ex co of Exeter/ nice guy
    Bernie Perowne - ex CO Alacrity made 2nd Sea Lord /combat xperience nil ( good guy though)
    Alan West - 1st sea lord/ would turn him down at Interview

    Captain C Craig RN,DSC, CO Alacrity during the Falklands, Captain F4, Commander Naval forces Iraq

    I think we should allow all Naval guys to vote for there leader, whats the problem with having a Leading Steward as 1st sea lord

We must continue to underpin this with absolute professionalism and rigour must equally prepare ourselves for the agreed follow on programme that will build the successor to the current submarines."
