Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I am attending a funeral this week and me and my oppo intend to go in rig out of respect. Our sadly departed mate was never a serving member of any of HM forces but was a staunch supporter of all things British, right and proper. Does anyone know if it appropriate to wear medals when in No.1s at a funeral or not?

    Full medals are correct.
  3. bobc2112, Yes u should wear your medals with your number ones, for your mate and for yourself.

Go pin your medals on, be proud their yours to wear.
Pull your shoulders back and let the youngsters stear.
They are yours by rite of war and service to the crown,
They are symbols that you did not let your side down.
Wear them proudly on your chest and let all who would deride.
They are yours by rite of war,So carry them with pride.

    Good luck
