Navy`s new Ship

There was an article and picture of the RN`s new warship in todays Mail on Sunday (HMS Dairing) the Mail calls it HMS Unisex as its complement will eventually consist of 50% WRNS, a very good ballance for fun deployments don`t you think?
"The awesome fire power consistes of advanced radar and missile systems able to spread a protected umbrella hundreds of miles wide. the ship can track more than 1,000 air targets at once and destroy a missile the size of a cricket ball flying at three times the speed of sound."
Wow!, with one of those down the Falklands the Navy could have won the war single handed. But tradition never lets go and it looks like solitary 4.5 on the bow, there again it could be a super dupa vaccum cleaner to hover up the wrecks of all the aircraft it shoots down. Is this the information the Navy spins to the press, or do the papers just make it as they go along?

Then of course as it escorts the yet to have plate laid CV's it will need its own AS escort cos they have not given it any AS weapons.

I am well out of date these days but isnt the helicopter ASW? My point is if the new ship can provide a protective cover hundreds of miles wide and track and shoot down 1,000 air targets at once have we got any need for new carriers and air squadrons? What the Navy should have leaked out to the press was.... this ship is a load of crap, same as all our other ones and if we dont get our carriers pronto we will be in deep shit, if the MOD bods read something like that the carriers would be in service before you could say Jack Robinson

There was a lady sailors picture (Commander)in the same article with a job desciption of logistics director, would this be a modern job title for supply officer?
