Naughty Pongo's

Excellent idea, as the lads will know what to aim for when the Tallies run away and hide.

Also, it will stop them hitting schools or hospitals by accident.

Perhaps we should register our disgust at the Church still standing in Twynham village, all those nasty Pongo types learning how to hate the C of E Churchs, fuel up the bus!

QUOTE "Anyone looking at it will think about mosques and Muslims and think about them negatively." UNQUOTE

Talk about paranoia - an alternative perception could have been "Anyone looking at it will think about mosques and be aware that innocents could be praying inside and they should not be targeted"

Bloody idiots!

It indeed a wonder the British Army haven't taken out a few cathedrals as a result of the church on the ranges in Dorset.

Perhaps our Muslim friends should be informed that the mock ups used for training are built to resemble the areas where fighting is taking place. Perhaps if these same Muslims would allow Christian, Jewish, Hindu and Budhist temples to be built in their countries the training grounds would reflect this. :p

That is far too logical an argument - besides the only reason for them getting their knickers in a twist this time is so that they can complain about perceived negative social profiling. The facts will never enter into such arguments.

Lads, and lasses

I'm glad it's not just me that finds this whole story rediculous. If the fool who thinks this reinforces a negative stereotype stops and thinks "hold on a minute, at least the lads will know what a mosque looks like and won't go shooting it up" then he will be playing a positive role. However here we go, just because a building looks like a mosque it has to be a bad thing, wonder how much money he wants for his pain and suffering?

Perhaps the British Council of Muslims should reinforce the "peaceful" message to their colleagues so the negative image of Muslims may be dispelled.

They just look like the 'generic' Afghan compound to me, can't see what all the fuss is about
Just needs a couple of 'volunteers' from the Muslim Council to act as suicide bombers so our lads can hone their techniques.

Placing these mock buildings on Bellerby ranges was obviously a grievous error on the part of the army. They should be removed immediately.
There must be a suitable artillery range that could accommodate them.

Yet another story blown out of all proportion. Some aspects of society will find reason to moan about anything and everything.

Unfortunately, this "aspect of society" have a habit of ending their own entry into society and taking others with them .... :-(
