Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. That's a heart warming story for a rainy Wednesday.
He said "he had been fishing and chumming". What's "chumming"?8O
  2. chum is what you use to shark fish, fill a container with all sorts of blood and guts punch holes in the can and watch the sharks etc appear.
Never done it but I remember it from the Capetown shark fishers who drank in my favourite watering hole there.
Liver was the favourite ingredient, plus any other offal around.
    Worked a treat they said.

Hmm, is that why women would wear miniskirts in Joanna's?! The resemblance to chopped liver was uncanny... 8O
  4. Well that's a relief. For a moment I thought chumming might be similar to dogging.
  5. It's the states remember, just think of "Deliverance".."squeal like a pig, boy"
  6. Good old British Royal Navy. the Septics might find that news a change from British Petroleum.
  7. He'll deny it, but it was probably Bergen. (Amateur)  :D
