Muslim leader to condemn terrorists

#1
The leader of a worldwide Muslim movement with thousands of followers in the UK is due to issue a fatwa - or Islamic religious ruling - condemning terrorism and warning suicide bombers that they are "destined for hell".
Pakistan-born Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, founder of the global Minhaj-ul-Quran movement, will make the formal UK proclamation of a fatwa, or religious edict, condemning terrorism and suicide bombing at a news conference in London.

The 600-page fatwa announces that "suicide bombings and attacks against civilian targets are not only condemned by Islam, but render the perpetrators totally out of the fold of Islam, in other words, to be unbelievers".

Good to hear, frankly more muslim leaders need to be doing the same so as to starve the BNP/EDL of publicity and isolate the islamist radicals.

Good move - it won't stop the bigots and racists from condemning every Muslim on the basis of their religion but it is a welcome initiative and hopefully will get the widest possible media coverage

To be fair many Muslims have been saying this for quite some time now, but our noble press finds it more rewarding to continue to try and claim all muslims are jihadis.

Agreed and noted - the problem is that good news doesn't sell newspapers as fast as bad news and the reading/viewing public are often not the most intelligent examples of humanity and believe what they are told.

Seriously, either RR has it's own sense of humor or sheer coincidence but this was above this relevant topic;

Muslim Matrimonials

Go on put a topic about lesbians on the site and then watch the adverts :p
The arse equivalent thread had an advert for scientology, clearly they are weirder than us.
