Yes, now's your time to invest in a bit of nostalgia. Something to adorn the bunhouse or an SR's messdeck... the various characters from our childhood (well those of us in the more experienced, "rounded" age bracket) are to be autioned on Monday at Christie's in South Kensington, London.

Not the originals though, it seems.

I had a Muffin the Mule as a kid. Made of lead alloy, I believe, with five strings atttached to brass rings to fit five little fingers.

He could gallop, bow, and rear up on his hind legs, pawing the air... with skill.. giving off a very satisfying metallic clunking sound.

Don't turn him upside down though, because he is hollow! The illusion that he actually lives is wrecked!

No... I dont still have him..... but I do have a crystal radio set. :mrgreen:
