More ludicrous statements from the Con/Lib marriage

The Telegraph Today:

The long-awaited fracture in the Tory party may be near: not over constitutional reform (though that will be bad enough) but over George Osborne's silly, unrealistic statement that the renewal of Trident will have to paid for out of the Ministry of Defence's equipment budget.

With the normal fudgin of Govt-speak, I suppose he might mean that any upgrades to Trident will have to be MoD budget. A complete renewal of our nuclear deterrent hasn't been discussed at Govt level yet. This will appease the ayes and naes at the same time. Course Trident maintenance is within the MoD budget anyway so he's just using words to play around until he can come up with something sensible to say. 8)

Of course he is far too well educated to engage brain before mouth and I do wonder how far off the first cabinet re-shuffle is; not too far away I suspect.
