Picture it.....

You are standing at the ATM on a Tuesday morning at 10.00am, withdrawing just £10.00 from it...you take your card when it spits it out, then you take your money and put it into your purse....

Suddenly the ATM "pings" and to your amazement it spits out £50.00. You look around, then take it, the ATM "pings" again, another £50.00, this goes on until you have £500.00 in you hand....

Now this is this dilema....

do you??

a/ take the money and spend it really quickly?
b/ take the money straight into the bank, and deposit it in your account?
c/ take the money straight into the bank, and tell them what has happened?
d/ take the money to the nearest charity box and deposit it in that?

try and be as honest as you can with your answer....... :angel12:

I think that I would contact the bank and advise them that the machine had made an error, these machines normally record what happens and I think that it would only be a matter of time before the bank contacted you.

It happened to me once, but only once, it spat out and extra 50. I spent it.
I also had an extra 800 appear in my account whilst offshore from NS&I.
Called the bank and they could shed no light on it so I kept it.

I have also found 2 wallets in my life and took both to the cop shop with all the money intact and both times they were returned to the owner and both times the owner contacted me to say thanks.

Two things I dont have:
1) A purse
b) 10 pounds on a Tuesday.

I would take it back to the bank and feel fulfilled all day (like fcuk)

A lot, if not all, also have piccy recording equipment fitted, so not to hard to see the pic of the last person to withdraw cash legally and take it from there.
