Modern terminology - What winds you up...

War Hero
The English language is forever changing (for good or bad).
What modern words or phrases wind you up or are misused.

Let's start with these two.

So basically......

War Hero
"Can I get...?" instead of "Can I have...?"

I see it all the time in pubs.
If I was behind the bar I'd be tempted to say something like, "No, I'll get it for you - that's my job. You just pay for it".

War Hero
...or axe instead of ask.
And from the woke generation when they fail or don't get something...'I worked so hard'.
Axing instead of asking is very common in the Caribbean; it always jarred my delicate ears and sensibilities - we're not in Henry VIII's time any more!
