  1. Hey,

I have just sent of an application for the Mine Clearance Diver and was wondering how much above the pass mark do you need to achieve in the fitness test.
I gave it a mock run in the gym and got the following marks,

    2.4km run 8.47 minutes
    10 pullups
    43 situps under 60 seconds
    18 dips
    completed the weighted carry
I am a trained BSAC sports diver as well with over 100 logged dives in varying conditions.

Are these marks suitable or should i try to aim higher if i am invited to do the PDA?

    thanks

You haven't offended me mate, I'm trying to point out the dangers of giving unqualified advice, which could be taken as gospel by someone not in the loop. Its good that you want to help out but stick to what you know.
