AET Thomas, aged 23 — who is also the search and rescue winchman — forms part of an eight-strong Lynx helicopter team.   Rules are still the same, for all ships flights Aircrewmen!!! You and the Pilot, help the grubbers to fresh water wash the Parrafin pidgeon, after the last land on, and stow the chopper in the hangar.

Scouse. What ships flight have you been on where you see the Pilot and Observer help fresh water wash the cab!??? They are usualy drinking pink gin in the wardrobe by the time the flight are doing that.

AET Thomas definitely will be helping as he's one one the maintainers. He doubles up as the winchman as required so no dashing off for a 2 deck bimble as soon as he lands on!

 Oh! my bold so different in days gone by, Thats the difference between a good ships flight and a bad one. You dont want to be down the mess deck all washed and scrubed up. Drinking your tinnies, or in the wardroom on pinkers, while your oppos are on deck, fresh water washing the Paraffin pidgeon!!! F47
