it been a while since I failed my medical (May this year was my medical) but I was just reading my report letter and its confusing me. when I was in the medical the doctor told me my BMI was high and I could not be past just for that reason. but in the report it says after a review of your medical history and discussion in the medical you dont meet the Royal Navy medical standerds (in accordance with JSP 950) and are considered medically unfit. the reason for this as explained in the clinic you dont meet the BMI entry standards. and my BMI was 31 and my waste was 91 CM please discuss this with your AFCO. which I have Spokane to my AFCO just after i feiled. He seaid come back when you have lost the weight its better to lose it slow then fast if need advice go to GP for help. Now im nearly there but im also going to email today to say how im getting on and that im still interested in joining. do the doctors have your medical history before you go to medical? if anyone her give me some help/ advice on the matter that would be great.
