Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hello, I really want to join the navy but I'm a bit nervous that I won't get in. I got bullied at school for being overweight, I then lost weight etc I went to an eating disorder place, at no time was I underweight. Through out my eating disorder I was a healthy weight, the people at the place said it's probably a phase. I've spoken to my doctor about it and he said he can't see whit it would stop me, because my BMI is healthy like I said I've never been underweight and I really have no problem with food and putting on weight. :/
  2. There's only one way to find out....
  3. I agree with Dapperdunn. Rather than trying to second guess the outcome of the medical put yourself forward and see how it goes.

As stated, there's only one way to find out. The bmi bit isn't that much of an issue if within acceptable parameters for entry but the eating disorder/psychological aspect will need to be checked out, I'd imagine.

    Good luck.
