Medical been sent off?

#1
Hopefully going in as ME, had my medical back in november they asked for more information from my doctor as i had some sort of fit to do with the heat when i was 6 i belive, so it was about 14 years ago and as far as i'm aware the doctors at the time didn't even know what it was.

So basicly my application was sent off to the navy doctors in january and i'm just wondering how long it will take, there has been nothing of the sort in 14 years.

Thanks in advance

It sounds like you had a febrile convulsion which is fairly common in babies. If you want a bit of advice on it PM angrydoc on here who i'm sure will help if he can.

good luck

Hi,

Unfortunately there has been a hold up in the specialist medical process. We have been waiting for 1 for over 1 year now. That said they are endeavouring to get them dealt with as quickly as possible and have put extra staff into the team to try and clear the back-log.

The best thing you can do is ring your careers advisor and ask for an update.

Hope this helps

SM

Good to hear :D

I spoke to my AFCO at the beginning of the month and they said their cases from January were being dealt with, plus a couple pre-new year.

I've been waiting nearly 2 months and haven't heard anything regarding the decision.

Hope you get the results you want :)

Are you on a refferal, if that is the case, did they still let you take your PJFT?

I am, and no.

Not allowed to do anything to do with the application/selection until the medical results come back. Whether that includes the security check, I don't know. Though I guess it doesn't make sense to spend the cash on someone who can't join anyway.

Cheers for reply's guys, gave them a call and they contacted them 2 days ago for an update, so hopefully should not be that long now.

Dr.Zoidberg- if that is correct then hopefully mine should be soon as it was posted in january.

Thanks
Richard
