    Job Description

    Thinking beyond the rigid confines of repetitive design you will provide innovative solutions to the nuclear industry. You will use the latest tools in the challenging fields of decommissioning and for the provision of associated new facilities.

    Depending on experience, your role will involve:

    • Providing key designs to assure the safety and quality of design solutions.
    • Leading design teams in decommissioning and the provision of new facilities.
    • Working closely with external contractors, and supervising and delivering core design activities utilising internal staff.
    • Interfacing with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, regulators, other professional engineering disciplines, nuclear operators and the external supply chain.
    • Addressing issues beyond normal UK engineering practices by employing innovative new technologies and solutions to unique challenges in a stringently regulated environment across a broad spectrum of engineering presented by the retrieval, conditioning, packaging and disposal of historic nuclear waste.
