me sm colour blindness

  1. today i had my royal navy eye test a few hours after passing my selection interview and wad told that i have mild colour blindness i was wondering would this effect my application to be ME SM as it is impossible to find a definate anwser on the net and my afco is closed at this time

    There are five different grades of colour perception. Grade one is perfect colour perception, grade 5 is unfit for service.

    ET(MESM) is grade 4, the lowest standard accepted for service.

  4. You could pass the colour perception test and still fail to spot a single rod drop in the T-boat cab ....
  5. I was on the panel - somebody would have told me. Or woken me up!
  6. You don't have to see it, the bells going off tell you it's time to take an interest and do something.
