married quarters

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. i am married and have a daughter, was wondering if and when i will be entitled to married quarters?

thinking of the submarine service if anyone is a submariner with a family any infomation on it would be much appreciated...

  2. Pretty sure it's on completion of Phase 1 so long as you have an expected assignment of over 6 months (ie when in Phase 2).
  3. After you have completed training, I believe.
  4. Unless it's changed in the last 2 years you will only be entitled to a MQ after the initial 6 months and then when you get a permanent draft (one longer than 6 months) or when you hit the fleet basically. There can be exceptions depending on circumstances but not the initial 6 month bit.

    Unless anyone knows differently
  5. Come to think of it you're right.

    I stand corrected.
