WOW amazing advice and support from all those who have posted on this thread so far, i'll take all the advice back to raleigh to me and definatly double check if that officer can really sort accomodation for me and family, will also check out defence estates web site, have already got in contact with gosport hive and that rowner estate houses are avalible from 2 nights to 6 months if need be but there about £22 per night so over 600 a month perhaps not a viable option for my self but good idea for passing out parades or family visits etc.

I have in the past had a married quarter on a 6 month lease on Grange Lane, Rowner. We were unmarried and I think we were allowed because there was accommodation spare, this was in 2006/7 though and when I got married last year I was told in no uncertain terms that I was not entitled to a quarter until two weeks before the wedding as in Goport and Fareham there is a big shortage of available quarters - due to large parts of Peak Lane being renovated and large parts of Rowner boarded up. Your looking at £500-600 a month for a private rent or bite the bullet and get married in order to get a Quarter in time.

Be advised it often depends who you speak to in the Aldershot DHE office as to how willing to help you they are - try and speak to Robert Bamford who is really helpful.
