  2. Can't open your link but seem to remember that Jack In The Basket was also the name of an outer channel marker at Lymington that we used as an RV during night crossings of the Solent. :thumright:

    I had hell's own time getting into this too! I can't remember how I got there in the end - probably via googling J in the B. There was apparently one in Chichester Harbour in Victorian times as the original ref for us came out of an account of the drowning there of one of Mrs S' relations.
