Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hi guys I'm joining as an ME (hence the subject *duh*) I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to prepare for the trade training, or if anyone has any other useful (or if not useful at least funny) advice?

As long as you are fairly decent at maths (revise if not), dashed good looking, a dab hand with the devils tools (hammers, adjustable spanners & stilsons) witty & debonair, the Navy will teach you the rest.

Well, it did for me anyway.
  3. Almost set then.... just need to revise on my math and look up what a stilson is!

  6. Stilsons have no place in a modern warship - that is why we use them in the RN.
