Marine Engineer - Subs or Ships?

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The Sub waiting time is 4 months and the Ships waiting time is 1 year

Can you tell me there experience of Subs, whats better and if you reccomend I wait for the year?

Im assuming since its a lesser waiting list its not as good.

I find that Sub rolls are not as fresh as they could be and that the fillings are somewhat sparse.
  3. There are a lot of threads on this site relating to this type of question - I'm fed up with re-stating the same sort of general guidance on this subject, no doubt many others feel likewise. Why not use a bit of initiative and find/ read the previous threads and then come back with some fresh questions?
  4. Submarine engineers spend a considerable amount of their time making their boats remain under water. Surface fleet engineers try to prevent this happening to their ships.

It's all in the design really.
