"A man has died and two are injured after police responded to a reported machete attack in south-east London."

"Local MP Nick Raynsford said the dead man was a soldier at Woolwich barracks but this has not been confirmed."

"People carrying out the attack were of Muslim appearance and cries of God is Great or Allahu Akbar were heard, said our political editor."

"One witness, identified only as James, said two men had attacked another man, aged about 20, who was wearing a T-shirt of military charity Help for Heroes"

...I find this part most disturbing, at which point may someone not wear a t-shirt supporting a charity for fear of attack.

Still not much has been released i see. Sky News is going over the same points. Two suspects have been detained by the Police, via hospital after some shooting though. Lets see how things pan out.
  5. Sky news first said it was the result of an RTA, now it's a terror attack, then the BBC are reporting it as an armed assault. The deceased 'may or may not be a serving soldier'.

Does anyone in the press actually have any idea what is going on?

  6. Local MP has said a solider has been killed.

Witnesses saying attackers asked passers by to film them carrying out attack and waited around as if they wanted to attack police or be captured.

  7. Do they ever ?.......too early to comment...........other than RIP to the victim.
  8. Heard the news coming in,victim is a soldier and was decapitated. Two men proceeded to charge towards the police who shot at them but not to kill. Why the fcuk not is the question ? Afraid of local reprisals or want to squeeze as much info out of 'God is Good' before a court case lets them go on 'humanitarian grounds' or fear of torture if they are deported ?

In light of this incident,Theresa May has been asked to head a meeting of COBRA.Well that's alright then.Sleep well tonight, folks, knowing that the same stupid bitch who took up Harriet Harman's mantle, introducing the 2010 Equality Act, is most likely responsible for these two dregs being here in the first place.

In the same breath, the radio announced, 'Cameron and Clegg pledge commitment to the Coalition'.This country, these gutless politicians and an utter denegration of justice. You watch. These bastards'll get life and nothing more while some poor sod, God love him, popped out to play the lottery and never got back to barracks.

    Confirmed as military personnel.
  10. I for one am not sure what "of Muslim appearance" is supposed to mean.Tallolah is quick to point the finger at immigrants but if recent history is any guide the perpetrators of Islamist terrorist attacks have been home grown.
  11. And what do you suggest that Cameron and Clegg do, when you take in to consideration the death penalty was removed a long long time ago?
  12. Religion of peace eh??

  13. Ironic that this happens on the very day that an arrest was made for the bombing of the Household Cavalry in 1982.
    RIP son, whoever you are.

  14. [IMG]...I wouldn't say this was 'standard muslim' appearance, Taloolah.

  16. ********?

And here was me thinking you'd turned a corner in your habitual, reactionary, right ring rants.

    MOD edit. Innapropriate term removed.

  17. The next door neighbours had 38 pages on this and have just had the entire thread pulled. Very intersting it was too. Just saying like.......
  18. But why did it, as reported, take 20 minutes for the Police to re-act?
  19. You mean the armed response team to show. The foot plod were there quiet swiftly!
