Making job choice

At what point do you need to make your finale job choice when going through the recruitment processes, I'm still trying to decide between Marine engineering technician and Air engineering technician. Thanks for any advice.

Ideally decide before or soon after the interview.

If you complete selection & change your branch of preference after an entry date is allocated the offer of service is withdrawn & you join the queue for a start date in your new branch once again.
Ok thanks, I haven't taken my test yet. After I take this, if I past will a navy careers advisor talk to me about what jobs are open to me?
Depends if you want to spend a life at sea, stinking of diesel, however wadded because you can't spend your wages.

Or life ashore with the inconvenience of occasionally deploying on a pussers grey?

Best look at what both trades do, the RN website is pretty good, however the AEO link shows a photo of an AET!!!
