Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. "The Royal Navy wants to hear from anyone who was christened using the bell from HMS Liverpool so they can attend a special dedication ceremony at the city’s seafarers’ church.

The bell was donated to Our Lady & St Nicholas Parish Church, Chapel Street, after the withdrawal of HMS Liverpool from service two years ago.

It has been restored by Cammell Laird apprentices to go on permanent display. The service, which takes place on June 13, at 2.30pm, will also include the rededication of the Arctic Convoy Memorial in the churchyard after restoration funded by Peel Ports."
